Can Lingfield-loving James Evans steal the headlines on Masqool?

Masqool is going up a furlong and a half in trip for the Lingfield's all-weather race. Charlie and Mark Johnston's Capital Theory is the favourite. The horse won his maiden race at Chelmsford two weeks ago. The race is over 7 fives furs. It is a longer distance than the previous one. Masqools stable is in good form after a 12-1 winner at Wolverhampton on Saturday.

Oliver Cole, joint-trainer of Splendent, expects him to run very well. Robert Havlin, rider of Jean Danjou, is wearing cheekpieces for the first time. James Evans, trainer of Masqool, has been placed at this distance before. William Muir, the joint trainer, was second at Wolverhampton last time and thinks Snapcracklepop has a great chance of going one better. Mike Murphy, co- trainer for Aristobulus, thinks going up in trip is worth doing.
