Cash In on the Fights: UFC Fight Night Parlay Insights

There’s yet another weekend full of some of the biggest upcoming UFC fights you can think of, and we are continuing to be spoiled by the matchmakers in Las Vegas. The most fun part about betting on MMA has to be constructing a winning UFC Fight Night parlay every weekend.

Making UFC picks is easily the most difficult thing to do for sports bettors across the world. There are so many unknown factors that impact the outcomes of these fights, especially when two of the best in the world share the octagon on a Saturday night.

Let’s take a closer look at three different fights and make picks on them to add to a three-leg parlay for this weekend’s event. The theme of this week’s parlay is going to be anti-wrestling. Is this the weekend where the punch lands before a takedown changes the fight?

Leg No. 1

To kick off this UFC Fight Night parlay, we are starting with a main card welterweight bout between TUF 29 winner Bryan Battle and AJ Fletcher. Since Battle has made the move down to 170 lbs, you can tell he is a different animal. His size makes a big difference down there, and he just became one of the most interesting upcoming prospects in a division that seems wide open for a new era to begin in the upcoming years.

Battle is going to need to stuff early takedowns and make sure he makes any lazy level change or lunging strike thrown by Fletcher, a mistake that will not go unnoticed. His counterstriking and skills off his back are the main reasons for this pick.

The size advantage is going to be with Battle now at welterweight, and that confidence will only let him open up more and let his hands go. He has the power, speed, and technique to catch the chins of a lot of talented guys in the welterweight division.

Leg No. 2

This is arguably the toughest pick to make on this UFC Fight Night parlay. Even though Bryce Mitchell lost to Ilia Topuria, it’s tough to bet against him because of how dominant he has been up to this point.

Ige is someone that we have always loved to bet on because he’s always showing up and ready to fight. With three “performance of the night” bonuses, he shows up when the lights are on. He has tons of great sparring partners who have just as great of wrestling as Mitchell does.

The level changes, and takedowns that Mitchell shows aren’t anything crazy or slick. If Ige stuffs the first few takedowns out in the open and puts pressure on Mitchell from the start, it will surprise people how much this fight is going to shift in Ige’s favor.

Mitchell is easily hit, and even though he’s a tough kid, you can only take so many clean shots from someone like Dan Ige. This is going to be a massive win for Ige and earn him a pretty big fight. You can expect a potential fight-of-the-night bonus given to these two in this one.

Leg No. 3

Finally, to finish off this winning three-leg parlay, we are going with Rafael Fiziev to defeat Mateusz Gamrot in the main event. This is going to be one of the most fun matchups to watch all year. These two are both arguably the most highly-skilled fighters on the roster, and this will be a true mixed martial arts fight.

This bout should be even at 50/50 odds, but Fiziev is getting the slight edge. That’s probably due to his dangerous striking and 90% takedown defense so far in his UFC career. The Muay Thai skill set that Fiziev has is probably the best in all of MMA right now, and the way he calculates his opponents and finds openings is second to none.

Fiziev is going to have a chip on his shoulder after losing a close fight to Gaethje in his last appearance, and his takedown defense is going to be sharp, as that should’ve been a priority in his training camp.

Gamrot could easily win this fight if Fiziev slips up and goes on to be a world champion in a couple of years; that’s how close this fight is. But the way Fiziev finds openings to land fight-changing shots over 25 minutes is what makes this pick go in his favor.
