Champions League winner odds: Bayern Munich price CUT after Harry Kane agreement, Arsenal lead Man Utd and Newcastle

BAYERN MUNICH are now second-favourites to win the 2023-24 Champions League title.

That's according to bookmakers Sky Bet, who've shortened their odds following news that Tottenham have accepted Bayern's £86.4million offer for the England international.

The group stage of this season's competition gets underway in September with several of Europes biggest sides looking to dethrone Manchester City, who are comfortable 2/1 favourites to defend their crown.

But Kane's imminent move to Germany has shifted the landscape.

Bayern Munich had previously trailed City and Real Madrid for the ultimate prize at 9/1, but they've leapfrogged their Spanish rivals after the Kane breakthrough.

The Bavarian heavyweights were far from their best across all competitions last year.

Bayern were dumped out of the Champions League at the quarter-final stage, and scraped to the Bundesliga title courtesy of a surprise collapse from Borussia Dortmund.

But the bookmakers expected a revitalised campaign with Thomas Tuchel now in charge and Kane's likely arrival finally providing a long-term replacement for Robert Lewandowski.

Though 7/1, Bayern and the rest of the chasing pack still trail Manchester City by a distant margin.

The Cityzens finally completed their quest for European silverware with a dominant campaign which included a 4-1 trouncing of Real Madrid.

Josko Gvardiol's arrival has strengthened their back line, while Mateo Kovacic will fill the void left by Ilkay Gundogan, who joined Barcelona on a free transfer.

Real Madrid are next at 8/1.

The 14-time European champions should never be underestimated in knockout football, especially with Carlo Ancelotti in charge in what's likely to be his final season at the Bernabeu.

Luka Modric and Toni Kroos still remain, along with Aurelien Tchouamani, Eduardo Camavinga and marquee summer signing Jude Bellingham. They will miss the presence of Karim Benzema, but securing Kylian Mbappe's signature would see their odds shorten significantly.

Arsenal are offered at 11/1 haven ended their six-year Champions League hiatus last season. They are followed by 12/1 duo Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain, while Manchester United follow at 16s.
