Chelsea vs Luton prediction, odds, betting tips and best bets for 2023/24 Premier League clash

Chelsea will be hoping for a far better result this weekend in the Premier League as they take on newly-promoted Luton Town at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues were upstaged by West Ham last time out, falling to a 3-1 defeat at the London Stadium as Mauricio Pochettino continues to experiment with his new side.

This time around, only a win will do, as Luton visit the capital for just their second ever Premier League outing.

The visiting Hatters didn't play last weekend as their match with Burnley was postponed due to work going on at their Kenilworth Road stadium. As such, they'll be well rested for this toughest of away tests but also still unfamiliar with their top flight surroundings.

Chelsea vs. Luton best bet

  • Pick: Over 2.5 goals
  • Odds: -200 (BetMGM)

Although Chelsea suffered a poor 3-1 defeat to West Ham in their previous ficture, they did look the better side when they hosted Liverpool on matchday one of the new Premier League season at Stamford Bridge.

That's key as it seems to already suggest that the west London side will be difficult to beat on home soil this season which will make this away day all the more tougher on the visitors.

Couple that with the fact that Luton have only experienced one Premier League outing so far – which ultimately ended in a 1-4 loss to Brighton – and we can see the goals flying in here.

Chelsea vs. Luton prop bet

  • Pick: Luton over 2.5 cards
  • Odds: -110 (FanDuel)

With this likely being one of their toughest matches of the season, we're expecting Premier League newsboys Luton to struggle with Chelsea's pace in this Friday night matchup.

That was evident in their opener vs. Brighton where they picked up a couple of bookings, but with this match seeing them play in front of the Sky cameras for the first time, the pressure with be well and truly on.

Additionally, Luton picked up 95 yellow cards and four red cards in the Championship last season, making for one of the worst disciplinary records in the competition. They also cleared the over 2.5 cards market in 16 separate league outings in 2022/23.

Chelsea vs. Luton flier bet

  • Pick: Ben Chilwell to score anytime
  • Odds: 6.50 (+550) (Dafabet)

If there's one player that has looked solid throughout Chelsea's opening two Premier League matches, it's Ben Chilwell.

As well as picking up an assist already, the England international left back has looked threatening down his flank, attempting three shots, one of which was on target.

We're expecting more of that attacking play this Friday against Luton – who are likely to sit deeper than your average opposition – and at +550 with Dafabet, he seems a nice pick to net his 10th competitive goal for the Blues.
