The Detroit Tigers and the Chicago White Sox meet in an AL Central division matchup in MLB action from Guaranteed Rate Field on Sunday.

The Detroit Tigers will look to rebound from an 8-0 loss at the hands of the White Sox in Saturday’s matchup. Jonathan Schoop has 6 home runs while Javier Baez has a team-high 8 homers, with Schoop logging 13 doubles and 22 RBIs. Baez also has a team-high 14 doubles and 31 RBIs while Miguel Cabrera has a team-high 78 hits, a .300 batting average and 31 RBIs. Drew Hutchison will start here and is 1-4 with a 4.30 ERA and 19 strikeouts this season.

The Chicago White Sox will try to build on their win over the Tigers from Saturday’s matchup. Jose Abreu leads the White Sox with 10 home runs, along with 40 RBIs, 92 hits and 23 doubles while Luis Robert has a .291 batting average with 83 hits and a team-high 46 RBIs and Andrew Vaughn has 38 RBIs, a .296 batting average and 15 doubles this season. A.J. Pollock’s also added 24 RBIs and 12 doubles on the year for Chicago. Michael Kopech will start here and is 2-6 with a 3.34 ERA and 68 strikeouts this season.

Detroit is 5-2 in their last 7 road games and 6-1 in their last 7 games overall while the under is 15-5-1 in their last 21 road games against a team with a right-handed starter. Chicago is 3-7 in their last 10 games against a team with a losing record and 2-5 in their last 7 games following a win while the over is 4-1-1 in their last 6 division games.

I get the case to be made for either side in this one, however I’m looking at the over. I don’t trust Drew Hutchison as far as I can throw him, and I haven’t since his time with the Toronto Blue Jays way back when, and Michael Kopech’s really regressed from a hot start to the year. I think this is one of those games where both starters go four or five innings max and not by choice. I think this just ends up being a game that finishes in double digits, so give me the over here.
