CLEVELAND, Ohio — This is a preview of the three-game series between the Guardians and Twins.
Where: Progressive Field, Monday through Wednesday.
TV/radio: Bally Sports Great Lakes, WTAM 1100 AM and the Guardians Radio Network will carry the series. Monday and Tuesday’s games will also air on WMMS 100.7 FM.
Pitching matchups and start times: RHP Lucas Giolito (7-11, 4.45) vs. RHP Pablo López (9-7, 3.72) on Monday at 6:10 p.m.; RHP Tanner Bibee (10-3, 3.03) vs. RHP Sonny Gray (7-6, 2.92) on Tuesday at 6:10 p.m.; RHP Gavin Williams (1-5, 3.46) vs. RHP Joe Ryan (10-8, 4.20) on Wednesday at 1:10 p.m.
Series: Guardians lead, 6-4, this season. Cleveland has won 1,189 all-time to 1,044 wins for the Twins.

Twins update: Entering play Sunday, Jorge Polanco had reached base safely in 23 of 24 games. Since August 11, he was hitting .319 (22-for-69) with five home runs, 18 RBI, 11 walks, a .410 on-base percentage, a .565 slugging percentage and a .975 OPS. Polanco had driven in nine runs in his previous seven games. Royce Lewis has hit .328 (41-for-125) with four doubles, seven home runs, 22 RBI and a .915 OPS in his last 34 games
Guardians: Over his last 11 games, Bo Naylor is hitting .375 (12-for-32) with five doubles, three home runs, six RBI and a 1.241 OPS. The rookie has an extra-base hit in six straight starts. The Guardians have 27 outfield assists, good for second in the AL and tied for third in MLB with St. Louis behind Colorado (29) and Kansas City (34). The club’s 58 outfield assists since the start of last season lead the AL and rank 2nd in MLB behind Cincinnati (59).

Taylor (right hamstring strain); 1B/OF Alex Kirilloff (right shoulder strain); RHP Oliver Ortega (left lumbar strain); DH Byron Buxton (right hamstring strain); 3B Jose Miranda (right shoulder impingement); RHP Brock Stewart (right elbow soreness); OF/INF Nick Gordon (right tibia fracture); RHP Chris Paddack (Tommy John surgery); RHP José De León (right flexor muscle strain); RHP Jorge Alcala (right radial stress fracture); RHP Tyler Mahle (Tommy John surgery) are on the injured list.
Guardians: RHP Shane Bieber (right elbow), RHP Triston McKenzie (right elbow) and RHP Michael Kelly (back) are on the injured list.
