College Football Playoff Top 25 Takeaways: Top Four Remains the Same, USC Rising, Clemson Lurking
Georgia is the top ranked team in the latest College Football Playoff rankings. Ohio State is second, Michigan and TCU are third and fourth.
The top four teams in the rankings remain the same, but the committee's next rankings will be different. USC is in control of its destiny. Clemson needs help to get into the four-team playoff. Notre Dame is still in contention to play in a New Year's Six bowl. The Tigers play South Carolina this Saturday and then play North Carolina in ACC Championship Game. They also have to face Georgia in SEC Championship and LSU in Southeastern Conference Championship. If they beat Georgia, they will get an invite to a bowl game. It's possible that they could get in if they knock off USC this weekend.
