TCU needs the Big12 to win and then win the title. No 15 Kansas State would fall behind the Irish with certainty. North Carolina could jump into Orange if it loses to No 9 Clemson in ACC title game. If the other team loses, it could be No 11 Penn State.

Boston College upset No. 16 North Carolina State last week. NorthCarolina State is struggling without star quarterback Devin Leary. If NorthCarcio State beats North Carolin, Notre Dame could play in the Cotton Bowl. If UNC beats UNC, then Notre Notre would play for the ACC championship.

No. 7 USC (9-1) beat Colorado 55-17 on Friday. Oregon transfer running back Travis Dye suffered a season-ending injury. USC is favored by 1.5 points against UCLA (8 ET; FOX).

No. 2 Ohio State is favored by 27.5 against Maryland. The Buckeyes beat Tom Allen and Indiana 56-14.

Marshall is favored by 4.5 at Georgia Southern this week (6 ET; ESPN+). Marshall should have been in Sun Belt contention this season but struggled through a midseason lull.

Cal fired some assistant coaches after losing at Oregon State 38-10. Head coach Justin Wilcox signed an extension last year. Stanford is favored by 4.5 points at Cal this weekend.

No. 13 North Carolina (9-1) is hosting Georgia Tech (5:30 ET; ESPN2) this week. The Heels are favored by three touchdowns.

BYU is an independent and will not be after this season. The Cougars are hosting FCS-level Utah Tech.

Stanford was beaten by Utah 42-7 last week.

UNLV lost to Fresno State 37-30. UNLV is the visiting team in the Hawaii Test at 11 ET. The game is broadcast on Team1 Sports app.

Syracuse lost to Florida State last week. The team is 6-4 and a 10-point underdog at Wake Forest this week (8 ET; ACCN).

No. 9 Clemson (9-1) is still in the hunt for a spot in a possible four-team playoff. Clemson is favored to beat Miami at 2:30 ET. If Clemson wins the ACC championship and beats North Carolina, it will be seeded higher than No. 8 Alabama. USC will fall if it loses to UCLA, Notre Dame or in Pac-12 championship game.
