Cowboys vs. Eagles NFL player props: Week 9

CeeDee Lamb Over 76.5 receiving yards (-115 via DraftKings) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

With their win over the Rams in Week 8, the Cowboys seemed to realize the obvious: Getting the football to CeeDee Lamb is good. A season-high 12 receptions and 158 receiving yards for Dallas’ top pass-catcher paved the way for a 43-20 victory.

While Lamb has had other explosive efforts this season, we hadn’t really seen the full potential of his connection with Dallas quarterback Dak Prescott come to fruition quite like that in 2023--and wouldn’t you know it, the Cowboys rolled. Against a Philadelphia secondary that has surprisingly allowed the third-most receiving yards to wide receivers in the NFL this season, Lamb should clear a receiving line that he’s hit with ease in consecutive games.

Lamb’s receiving yards are listed in several spots at several of our best sportsbooks but the majority of those props come attached to -120 odds on Over. Play it at DraftKings where we can get -115 odds on this prop.

Tony Pollard Under 53.5 rushing yards (-110 via bet365) ⭐⭐⭐

While Dallas running back Tony Pollard was one of the most explosive players at the running back position a year ago, he wasn’t found the same level of efficiency in taking over the lead back role for the Cowboys this season.

Pollard is averaging 3.9 yards per carry and has had only one game over his past four in which he has drawn more than 12 carries. Across those four games, he has failed to eclipse this rushing line even once.

The Eagles boast the stingiest run defense in the league, allowing just 65.5 rushing yards per game. We don’t see a sudden burst of efficiency from Pollard coming in this one. Most of our best sportsbooks list Pollard’s rushing line at 53.5 yards. The best odds come from bet365 at -110, but DraftKings is also acceptable at -115. Avoid FanDuel for this Under bet, as the line is listed there at 51.5 yards.

Kenneth Gainwell Over (-110 via bet365) ⭐⭐⭐

While Eagles running back Kenneth Gainwell ceded the majority of the opportunity in the Philadelphia backfield to running back D’Andre Swift following his spell as the RB1 to begin the year, we’ve still seen regular involvement for the third-year pro.

Last week, Gainwell’s involvement resulted in five receptions rather than a more sizeable chunk of the rushing attempts. Most weeks, though, we’ve seen Gainwell mix in for a handful of carries. He’s drawn four or more rushing attempts in five of his seven games played.

Gainwell’s last game is the only one this season in which he didn’t total at least 13 rushing yards. Dallas has slipped a bit in the run defense department, allowing 108.9 rushing yards per game to rank 17th in the NFL in the category.

Each our our best sportsbooks with a line on Gainwell that lists it at 15.5 yards, but to bet the Over at DraftKings (-120), BetMGM (-120), or Caesars (-117) simply wouldn’t provide the same value as doing so at bet365 (-110).
