Dak Prescott vs. Jalen Hurts NFL Player Props, Odds

Our Week 9 Dak Prescott vs. Jalen Hurts NFL player prop predictions, backed by the best NFL odds from our best sportsbooks, lean toward a likely shootout in this NFC East rivalry game.

In a highly anticipated Week 9 NFL matchup, quarterbacks Dak Prescott of the Dallas Cowboys and Jalen Hurts of the Philadelphia Eagles are set to go head-to-head in a game with significant playoff implications. This showdown promises to be one of the most crucial and closely watched games of the week, with both teams aiming to secure a pivotal victory as they jockey for playoff positioning.

After the San Francisco 49ers embarrassed Prescott and the Cowboys during an earlier massive matchup, can Dallas rebound in this marquee game?

In conjunction with our Cowboys-Eagles prediction and Cowboys-Eagles prop picks, let's look at our best Prescott vs. Hurts NFL player props for Week 9 (odds via our best NFL betting sites; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Prescott vs. Hurts NFL player props: Week 9

Jalen Hurts Over 285.5 passing and rushing yards (-110 via bet365) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

We like the interesting wrinkle that bet365 offers on quarterback yardage with their prop that combines passing and rushing yards. While most of our best sportsbooks list Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts’ passing yards prop around 253.5 yards, the bet365 prop on combined passing-plus-rushing yards is only 32 yards above that line.

Though Hurts is coming off his quietest day of the year from a rushing standpoint (four carries, six yards), there’s no reason to suspect he should be limited to the same extent he was this week. Hurts has five games with 34 or more rushing yards on the season.

Hurts cleared this combined passing and rushing yardage line in six straight games. Rather than having to wonder whether it’s going to be a pass-heavy or run-heavy day for Hurts, you can bet this prop at bet365 and rest easy knowing you’ll benefit from virtually every play Hurts makes in this rivalry game.

Dak Prescott Over 250.5 passing yards (-114 via FanDuel) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott had to have gained some confidence from last week’s four-touchdown performance against the Rams. He also threw for 300+ passing yards for the first time all season in that game. This week, Dallas will need to throw to score with the Eagles as Philly has the best run defense in the league. Against the pass, though, the Eagles rank 26th, allowing 247.5 passing yards per game.

This is a prop you’ll want to shop around to ensure the best line. DraftKings, Caesars, and BetMGM are spots to avoid for Over bettors as they list Prescott’s passing line at an inflated 255.5 yards. Caesars has the odds on Over at a preposterous -133.

At current lines, roll with either bet365 or FanDuel, which both list Dak’s total at 250.5 yards. You’ll pay a premium on the bet365 odds to -120, while FanDuel sits at -114. It wouldn’t be a surprise to see both books boost the line to match their competitors at some point. Prescott’s passing yards going Over would reduce to a three-star play if all our best sportsbooks increased the line to 255.5 yards.

Dak Prescott Over 1.5 passing touchdowns (-105 via BetMGM) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Last week against the Rams, the Cowboys finally saw their passing game click. Dallas wide receiver CeeDee Lamb exploded for 159 yards and two touchdowns to help Dak Prescott clear 1.5 passing touchdowns for the first time since mid-September.

Did the Dallas coaching staff learn anything from last week’s cakewalk win? We’re betting yes. The Cowboys are at their best when leaning into the connection of Prescott to Lamb. Against a Philadelphia secondary that ranks so poorly against the pass, I expect to see Prescott lead the Cowboys into the end zone with multiple TD passes.

FanDuel’s -112 odds on Over 1.5 passing touchdowns is the worst value for this wager across our recommended sportsbooks. Bet365 at -110 and Caesars at -109 are acceptable options, but not as favorable as the -105 odds listed at DraftKings and BetMGM.
