Cubs Lineup vs Brewers Today

Cubs Lineup — The Cubs season is over. At least I only had to write one Cubs lineup post with the team mathematically eliminated? I guess that’s progress (pukes).

Chicago Cubs Lineup:

  1. Pete Crow-Armstrong, CF
  2. Chris Morel, SS
  3. Jeimer Candelario, DH
  4. Alexander Canario, RF
  5. Mike Tauchman, LF
  6. Patrick Wisdom, 3B
  7. Jared Young, 1B
  8. Miguel Amaya, C
  9. Miles Mastrobuoni, 2B

With the season officially over, David Ross has removed as many regular/everyday guys as he could. That means Pete Crow-Armstrong is in center, Chris Morel is your shortstop, and Alexander Canario is your right fielder.

Seiya Suzuki, Ian Happ, Dansby Swanson, Cody Bellinger, Nico Hoerner, Yan Gomes, etc. all get the day off.

Milwaukee Brewers Lineup:

  1. Christian Yelich, LF
  2. William Contreras, C
  3. Carlos Santana, DH
  4. Mark Canha, 1B
  5. Willy Adames, SS
  6. Josh Donaldson, 3B
  7. Garrett Mitchell, CF
  8. Tyrone Taylor, RF
  9. Brice Turang, 2B

Pitching Matchup:

The one silver lining of being eliminated today (and not having to worry about that stupid 9th inning wrap-up between the Mets and Marlins) is that Justin Steele (originally scheduled to start this game) has been shut down. Steele has had a fantastic season and I’m happy to see his rest start one game early. Instead, Drew Smyly will take the ball and he actually has a lot on the line:
