Damon Heta kicks the afternoon session off against Berry van Peer, who has been a real surprise package in his section of the draw. No one expected him to get past Luke Woodhouse and then Josh Rock.

But, for me, that run ends here.

Damon was solid in his first match against Martin Lukeman and I expect him to play similarly here. He might drop a set but Heta should go through to face Scott Williams in the next round.

Next up, it’s two players who are in indifferent form at the moment as Jonny Clayton takes on Krzysztof Ratajski, who was labored in a three sets to one win against Jamie Hughes in the previous round.

Jonny similarly missed a load of double against Steve Leennon but got over the line in the end.

I think this one will be close too, there’ll be errors in the match with both players lacking confidence, and I can see it being a seven setter with Jonny Clayton making it through to the round of 16.

Raymond van Barneveld takes on Jim Williams in the last match of the afternoon.

Williams comfortably overcame Peter Wright in the last round, while Raymond was consistent throughout his win over Radek Szaganski.

Both players know there’s a huge clash lined up with Luke Littler in the next round as well.

I think Raymond van Barneveld will be too clinical for Jim Williams, who would like this to get scrappy, but Barney should show his class and win this 4-2 to set up that last 16 tie with Littler.
