Del Mar Closes Its 2022 Year With Record Mutuel Handle

Del Mar's fall season of 2022 attracted a record amount of bets. The total handle for the four-week, 13-day fall session was $164.85 million. A total of 515 starters participated at Del Mar in the summer and fall of the 2022. The fall Turf Festival drew high-class runners from across the country. Flavien Prat won his sixth DelMar riding title. Phil D'Amato captured 19 races during the 13 days. It was his fourth Delmar title, while trainer Phil d'Amore won 19. Next July, Del mar will host its 84th summer season.
