Diamondbacks vs. Dodgers prediction and odds for Tuesday, Aug. 29 (Bet the UNDER)

The Los Angeles Dodgers extended their lead in the NL West with a win against the Arizona Diamondbacks and Zac Gallen on Monday night.

Arizona needs to pick up a win to stay in the driver’s seat in the NL wild card race, but things won’t be easy with Clayton Kershaw on the mound for Los Angeles on Tuesday.

The D-backs have Merrill Kelly on the mound, and he tossed six innings of scoreless ball his last time out against the Dodgers.

Both of these starters have been solid, especially Kelly in the month of August. The righty has a 2.08 ERA across five outings.

Here are the latest odds for this matchup:

I think there’s a ton of value in taking the UNDER in this matchup considering how well these starters have pitched this month.

Kershaw has made three starts since returning from the injured list, allowing just one run in each of them and giving up seven total hits.

The Dodgers ace has been great all season long, and he made two starts against Arizona earlier this season, posting a 3.75 ERA in those outings.

While the Dodgers’ offense has been elite all season long, it's scored just two earned runs against Kelly in three starts.

The righty is coming off arguably his best outing of the season as well, tossing seven innings of one-hit ball against the Cincinnati Reds.

Even at 7.5, I think it’s worth taking the UNDER and hoping both bullpens can hold up.
