Dolphins vs. Jets Best Touchdown Scorer Bets: Tyreek Hill, Raheem Mostert, and One Long-Shot Pick

Another New York Jets game, another low total, as oddsmakers don’t have any more confidence in their offense, even after benching Zach Wilson.

Can this high-powered Miami Dolphins offense put up points against an elite Jets defense, and if so, which players will find their way into the end zone?

Let’s take a look at our favorite Dolphins vs. Jets touchdown scorer bets.

Dolphins vs. Jets Best Touchdown Scorer Bets

Raheem Mostert (-117 at BetRivers)

Katz: I am always hesitant to lay juice on touchdown props, especially in projected low-scoring games, but the Jets are a run-funnel defense. I think the Dolphins will implement a surprisingly run-heavy game plan. With De’Von Achane banged up, look for a bigger dose of Mostert this week. When the Dolphins get near the goal line, I think he punches in a short one.

Gosling: The Dolphins are laying a whopping 10 points in this one, making them one of the bigger favorites of the week. What does that mean? Well, they should be running the ball quite a bit in the second half if they’re already up double digits. I have very little faith that Tim Boyle will be able to accomplish much against this Dolphins secondary, meaning Miami should have ample opportunity to run the ball.

Yes, the Jets defense is the definition of elite. However, they’re one of eight teams to surrender 1,000 rushing yards to RBs this season. So Miami will likely look to avoid their secondary and take advantage of them on the ground. Look for Mostert to find the end zone here.

Tyreek Hill (-110 at ESPN BET)

Bearman: Normally, you would see much shorter odds here, as Hill scores almost every week. But the Jets’ strong secondary, and most notably the presence of All-Pro CB Sauce Gardner, have increased the odds here compared to normal. Even with all that said, I’m more than fine taking Hill at even money.

Dolphins D/ST (+750 at FanDuel)

Blewis: Considering the matchup against Tim Boyle, these seem like great odds. For comparison, these odds are just +400 at DraftKings.

Only six teams have fewer takeaways than the Dolphins so far, and they have returned just one turnover for a touchdown this season. The Dolphins should be able to get after Boyle considering the mismatch of their defense that ranks eighth in pass-rush win rate going against a Jets offensive line that is one of the worst pass-blocking units in the NFL.

Consistent pressure on Boyle could lean toward a strip sack fumble or an errant throw that’s intercepted. Let’s take a flier on a turnover being taken to the house.
