Dolphins vs. Raiders line, odds and predictions: Our experts like Miami to beat Las Vegas

Can the Las Vegas Raiders and interim coach Antonio Pierce win their third straight game? Sunday’s game at the Miami Dolphins is a big test to see if the Raiders have turned their season around and can stay in the AFC playoff race. The Dolphins are double-digit favorites.

Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. ET from Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Fla. CBS will broadcast the game.

NFL pundits and armchair quarterbacks have been critical of the Dolphins this season for their inability to get wins over the league’s top teams. The Dolphins (6-3) don’t have a win against a team with a winning record and have lost to all three .500 or better teams they’ve played.

Miami is expected to get rookie running back De’Von Achane back in the lineup after he was activated off injured reserve on Saturday after missing four weeks with a knee injury.

The Raiders have back-to-back victories, refreshed and reborn. Miami is 4-0 straight up and against the spread at home this season — those wins were against the Broncos, Panthers, Giants, and Patriots. So this game against the Raiders (5-5) will be the toughest home game of the season, to this point, for the Dolphins.

Las Vegas has not played well away from home this season. It is 1-4 on the road with a victory over the Broncos in Week 1.

In the back-to-back wins, Las Vegas has allowed a total of 18 points. But those games were against the New York Jets and New York Giants. They will have a much stiffer test on defense this week. If the Raiders can run the football effectively, they can keep the Dolphins’ offense off the field.
