Donovan Mitchell Next Team Odds: Knicks, Heat, Hornets, or Jazz?

DraftKings posted a prop bet on Donovan Mitchell's next team. New York Knicks are the betting favorite at -325 odds. Miami Heat are second at +350, followed by the Utah Jazz at $200. Utah team president Danny Ainge is willing to trade all of their veterans, including Mitchell and Mike Conley.

Donovan Mitchell grew up in Westchester as a Knicks fan. The Knicks made several moves this offseason to put themselves at the front of the line to acquire Mitchell. Mitchell's current asking price is too high for the Knicks. The Minnesota Timberwolves ruined the trade market by trading Rudy Gobert to the Minnesota Wolves for four first-round draft picks and five players. If Gober is worth four picks, Mitchell is probably worth six.

Miami Heat are trying to add a star player to their roster through a trade. Pat Riley has been keeping tabs on the trade market for Mitchell, Kevin Durant, and even Kyrie Irving. The Heat prefer Durant but the Nets want Bam Adebayo. Nets can't trade Ben Simmons because of the rule that a team cannot acquire two rookie max-contract players on same team.

Donovan Mitchell is being linked to Charlotte Hornets. Gordon Hayward is interested in joining Mitchell. The Hornets are +1200 odds to become the next team for Mitchell, but they can't compete with six first-round draft picks. The Knicks are also +600. Boston Celtics are -600, so they are not a realistic option.
