NBA Eastern Conference 2022-23 Season Previews, Picks, and Predictions

NBA offseason saw Kevin Durant request a trade and then take it back. Utah Jazz traded Rudy Gobert for five players and five draft picks. Atlanta Hawks traded Danillo Gallinari and three first-round draft choices to San Antonio Spurs for Dejounte Murray. James Harden restructured his contract with the Philadelphia 76ers to be more team-friendly.

Boston Celtics are the favorite to win the Atlantic Division. The 76ers are third in the markets behind the Nets and Toronto Raptors.

Milwaukee Bucks are the favorite at –305. Chicago Bulls are a wild card team priced at +700.  The Bulls have the roster depth and defensive unit required to take down a team like the Bucks.

Miami Heat are the favorites at -160 as offered at Caesars. The Heat won 53 games last season and nearly earned their way to another NBA Finals appearance. Charlotte Hornets, Washington Wizards and Orlando Magic are long shots. The Hawks are attractive at +200 at BetRivers. For a pizza money-sized bet, I bet on the Magic at +2000 to win the division.

The Celtics are the favorite to win the Eastern Conference at +275. The 76ers are a close second at -700.
