Douglas gets his first double
Douglas gets his first double at Winton today. Minnie McGoogan (Pegasus Spur) and Macandrew Navigator (Sir Lincoln) won the last two races on the eight race card.
Douglas has won a double as a trainer and a driver. Minnie McGoogan won the Dunstan Horsefeeds Gold Chip Final over 2400 metres. It was Minni Mcgoogan's second win in 14 starts. Charlotte Williamson owns Teddy Baker which won at Addington on Friday. She is thinking about transferring all her horses into Charlotte's name. She has a share in Minnie Mc googan with Invercargill HRC President Craig Heyrick and his wife Tania. They have a partnership with Oamaru owner Charlotte. Cool Phelan (Pegasus Spur) came second and Justine Jaccka (Creatine) third.
She's the sort of horse that can follow good horses and still finish with them. She may have a quiet workout this weekend and head up to the Oaks from there.
Macandrew Aviator was a better horse this week. Southern horses have a good presence in the two year old features at Addington’s Grand Prix Meeting on Sunday 4 December. Treacherous Gall is in fifth position, Advance Party is one place below, Da Vinci is seventh, Rakamurph is eleventh and Krackaling is nineth. Switch On is the fifth qualifier in Ace of Clubs for two-year-old colts and geldings. Show No Fear is second top qualifier for Ace Of Hearts for 2-years-olds trotting. Kenny's Charm is currently in twelfth place.
