The Sabres selected Cozens as their seventh overall choice in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft. Cozens made his debut in the NHL during the 2020-21 season on January 14, 2021, when the Sabres faced off against the Washington Capitals.

Dylan is also competing in the current season and has already participated in 49 games, tallying 43 points (17 goals and 26 assists). He has appeared in 169 games throughout his career in the NHL and has accumulated 94 points on 34 goals and 60 assists.

Following in the footsteps of fellow forward Tage Thompson, Dylan Cozens became the second forward to ink a contract with the Sabres, which will keep him with the team for the next seven seasons.

Now that both Thompson and Cozens will be team members for the next seven years, it will be exciting to see how the power-packed forwards will aid the Sabres in their games.

This season, the other two crucial players for the Sabres are Rasmus Dahlin and Alex Tuch. This season, the team has benefited from a combined 55 points from the two.

Now that Dylan Cozens has signed a seven-year contract extension, it will be interesting to see how the 21-year-old will contribute to the team.
