England U21 vs. Spain U21 Odds, Bet Builder & Betting Tips

The final of the Under-21 European Championships takes place on Saturday with England facing Spain in the Adjarabet Arena in Georgia. Here at BettingOdds.com we’ve put together our best bet builder tips for the occasion. Read below about our selections, which can be backed with either Paddy Power or Betfair.

Lee Carsley’s Young Lions cantered past Israel in the semi-final with a 3-0 victory thanks to goals from Morgan Gibbs-White, Cameron Archer and Cole Palmer. The last time an England Under-21 side reached the final of the Euros was back in 2009 under Stuart Pearce, but this crop will hope they can go one better and replicate the success of 1984 when they last lifted this trophy.

Five-times European Under-21 Champions Spain, also put in an incredibly strong showing in their semi-final on Wednesday as they beat Ukraine 5-1. Spain have conceded in three of their five matches so far at the tournament, which will certainly boost England who boast a stunning defensive record having not conceded a solitary goal yet on their road to the final.

Taking a look at the match odds for this one and England can be backed 13/8 with bet365 and most trusted betting sites, while Spain are slightly longer at 17/10. In terms of lifting the trophy, bookmakers are struggling to split the pair with 10/11 on show for either side to be crowned winners.

Levi Colwill 1+ Foul & Sergio Gomez 1+ Shot on Target

It is pleasing to see bookmakers putting up a range of markets such as fouls and shots for this big match, although it is rather disappointing that the only place this game will be shown is on the UEFA website.

We are kicking things off on Saturday with Levi Colwill to give away one or more fouls in the match. The defender spent last season on loan at Brighton and in his final appearance of the campaign for the Seagulls he committed three fouls.

Colwill has made four appearances so far at this summer’s European Championships and has given away a foul in three of those. We are therefore surprised to see 10/11 on show for him to give away one against Spain. Finals can often lead to a higher foul-count with a trophy up for grabs and it would be no surprise to see Colwill give away a couple here.

Regular readers at BettingOdds.com will know that it has been a profitable tournament for our Under-21 selections, with the latest winner coming on Wednesday when we put up Sergio Gomez to register 1+ shot on target at 10/11.

The Manchester-City man has been playing a much more advanced role for his country in the last couple of weeks and has been a key player in the final third. After his goal against Ukraine, Gomez is now the joint top scorer at the tournament with an impressive three goals.

Paddy Power have priced Gomez at 13/10 to hit the target at least once against England, which looks a little big in our eyes, with bet365 going odds-on at 5/6. Combining both Levi Colwill and Segio Gomez pays 10/3 with Paddy Power at the time of writing, compared to just 12/5 over at Sky Bet.
