Manchester City and Arsenal are leading contenders to win the EPL this season. Manchester City's new signing Erling Haaland is already a big hit. Arsenal has won seven of their eight games, losing only to Manchester United at Old Trafford. The Gunners have bought Gabriel Jesus from Manchester and Oleksandr Zinchenko from Man City.

Manchester City is on a winning streak and is looking at a third-successive Premier League title. If they win this season's title, they will become the sixth team to win three consecutive titles in English top-flight history. Manchester United are the only other team that has achieved this feat. The outcome of the FIFA World Cup Finals in Qatar will affect the performance of both Arsenal and Manchester City.

Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspurs have both strengthened their teams during the summer transfer market. Chelsea lost Lukaku and Werner but signed Raheem Sterling, Wesley Fonfana, Kalidou Koulibaly, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Marc Cucurella. The Blues had to let go of their German coach Thomas Tuchel and replaced him with Graham Potter. Tottenham brought in new players from Juventus, Inter Milan, Barcelona and Ajax. They are currently sitting in third place in the Premier League table.

Manchester United's recent performance has been disappointing. Erik Ten Hag's ambition is to build a team over several years to make United powerful again. Cristiano Ronaldo wants to leave the club and play football somewhere else.  Betting on Manchester United to win the title or finish in the top four places in Premier League is risky.
