Premier League 2023-24 to win without Man City: Arsenal favourites to challenge

Welcome to the all-new bet365 Premier League betting hub, where we take a closer look at the latest odds in some of the most interesting ante-post betting markets ahead of the new season that starts on Friday August 11.

Title without Manchester City

For the 2023-24 Premier League, bet365 is running a Premier League winner without Manchester City betting market. Essentially, here you are betting on which side will finish second in the domestic top flight this term.

The Light Blues have won the title in five of the past six seasons, including the previous three, and look well set to dominate the new campaign.

Premier League title without Manchester City – 2023-24

  • 66/1 bar

bet365’s to win without Manchester City market closes before the second game of the season begins – and the first without the Light Blues – with Arsenal playing host to Nottingham Forest at 12.30pm on Saturday August 12.

For your punt to be paid out, the side that you have backed must finish second if Manchester City win the league. If City do not get the title, the team you have backed must be the ones lifting the trophy.

Where could the value lie in this market?

After leading the Premier League table for the majority of the 2022-23 season, Arsenal’s position as the 11/4 favourites in this market is justifiable.

The Gunners have reacted to missing out on a first title for nearly 20 years by heavily strengthening the spine of their side, with Declan Rice, Kai Havertz and Jurrien Timber all moving to the Emirates.

A pick with more value could be Manchester United at 4/1, however. Like Arsenal, the Red Devils have also bolstered their squad with Mason Mount the marquee arrival from Chelsea.

United, after a slow start last term, got better as the season progressed and finished just nine points behind Arsenal and 14 behind City. They also won the Carabao Cup, defeating Newcastle 2-0 at Wembley.

Erik ten Hag’s side also beat the Gunners and the Light Blues at Old Trafford in 2022-23 so should be well placed to challenge at the top of the table this time around.

Sandwiched between United and Arsenal in the betting are Liverpool at 3/1. The Merseyside giants have a lot of catching up to do this season after finishing 17 points behind the Gunners last term and are also going through a major midfield rebuild.

Chelsea ended up a massive 40 points behind the Gunners last season so are not overly tempting at 6/1. The west Londoners are hoping for a period of renewal and transformation under new manager Mauricio Pochettino.

Newcastle United are priced at 7/1. While thoroughly impressive domestically in 2022-23, they have Champions League football to contend with so may struggle to establish themselves in the title race.

Tottenham Hotspur (16/1) and Brighton & Hove Albion (22/1) are the other frontrunners in the betting but also seem unlikely winners in this market.
