FCS Playoff Preview: Samford at North Dakota State
Samford plays North Dakota State in the FCS quarterfinals on Friday night. NDSU is the defending champion and has won nine national titles since 2011. Samford has reached the final eight for the second time in 31 years.
No. 6 seed Samford (11-1) plays No. 3 seed North Dakota State (10-2) at the Fargodome in Fargo, North Dakotas on Friday at 7 p.m. ET. It's the first meeting between the two teams.
Samford and North Dakota State are playing in the FCS playoffs. The winner will play either Sacramento State or UIW in a national semifinal on December 16 or 17. North Dakotas State is 42-3 all-time in FSC playoffs, including 32-1 inside the stadium. Samford is 3-5 in six playoff appearances.
