Fixture: USA Eagles/Portugal RWC Playoff qualification match

USA Eagles and Portugal are playing in the last RWC playoff qualification match on Friday, November 18th in Dubai. The match is a last chance for the USA Eagles to qualify for Rugby World Cup 2023. Portugal have only played in one R WC, in 2007. The United States has the more consistent tournament attendance record. Many of their players are full-time professionals in Major League Rugby.

USA Eagles beat Hong Kong 49-7. Portugal beat Kenya 85-0. The winner will qualify for the Rugby World Cup in France.  The Portuguese will have plenty of motivation and good support. They had ended Major League Rugby competition in July. There are regular club and representative rugby fixtures in Portugal. It might hold them in good stead. USA Eagles have their work cut out for them next weekend.
