Flightline dominates Breeders' Cup Classic, wins by 8¼ lengths

Flightline won the $6-million Breeders’ Cup Classic at Keeneland Race Course on Saturday.

Flightline won the Breeders' Cup Classic by 8¼ lengths. It was only his sixth race and possibly his last. He won his six races by a total of 71 lengths and his value as a stallion could approach $100 million. The horse will undergo surgery in the morning. Domestic Spending suffered a pelvic fracture. Epicenter had a repairable displaced condylar fracture to his right front leg. Both horses were taken to Rood and Riddle Equine Hospital. Earlier in day, Domestic spending was pulled up entering the far turn in Turf Mile. Epicentre won Travers Stakes and finished second in Kentucky Derby and Preakness.
