Ferrari has won consecutive races but is 56 points behind Red Bull in the constructor standings. Charles Leclerc finished fourth at Silverstone, but he's 38 points off the lead. Mercedes will be a team to watch this weekend. Alpha Tauri has been disappointing this season but has big upgrades for the French Grand Prix. Paul Ricard has an inconsistent place in F1 calendar but it's been on the circuit for French GP since 2018.  The track is not a track with a lot of overtaking opportunities. The winner of the race usually starts from the back of pack.
