FRANKIE DETTORI'S final ever Arc ride has been cut from 66-1 to 16-1 - ahead of what could be a fairytale send off in Paris.

The world's most famous jockey will ride the John & Thady Gosden-trained Free Wind in the Longchamp feature on Sunday.

The five-year-old mare won the Group 2 Middleton Fillies' Stakes at York in May and was beaten a head in the Yorkshire Oaks at the same track last month.

Free Wind looked to appreciate the step up to a mile and a half having been found out over 1m6f in the Lillie Langtry.

Dettori, 52, has ridden the horse all four times this season and the duo look set to renew their partnership in a race the jockey has won a record six times.

The Italian - who will rent out his sprawling Newmarket mansion for £15,000 a month when he retires - won the Arc twice on wondermare Enable in 2017 and 2018.

Paddy Power make Free Wind 16-1 to win the £2.5million first-place prize, with Ace Impact a rock-solid 5-2 market leader.

Aidan O'Brien is set to supplement St Leger winner Continuous while German raider Fantastic Moon could also be added.
