Virginia Tech is favored by 3 points over West Virginia. The Hokies beat North Carolina and Middle Tennessee. West Virginians lost their opener to Maryland 30-24. They gave up 496 yards to the Terrapins and turned the ball over four times. Virginia Tech's offense is all about ball control and getting takeaways. The team's running game has averaged 175.5 yards.

Alabama is a 14-point favorite against Florida. Florida is 2-0 straight up but they have struggled on offense. Neither Emory Jones nor Anthony Richardson has won the starting job yet. Bryce Young is making his first start in the SEC. The defense is inexperienced and ranks 81st in FBS. The Crimson Tide should be able to contain whoever is under center. They should also be in control of the passing game. It might take a bit for Bama to get rolling.

Notre Dame is 2-0 this season, but it's unconvincing. Purdue is largely untested so far this year, and they've won both games. Jeff Brohm is 17-5 ATS in his last 22 games as an underdog. Purdue's quarterback Jack Plummer should be able to pick his spots against a porous Notre Dame defense. The Irish run game is not getting going. They're 109th in yards per attempt at 2.7 per carry.

Tulsa is off to an 0-2 start and has scored 40 points in both games. Ohio State lost to Oregon last week. Tulsa is a minus-24.5 favorite.

Florida State is coming off a loss to FCS Jacksonville State. The Seminoles are 28-point favorites against Wake Forest. Some people bet on the Deacs to win.

Penn State is a favorite against Auburn at -5. The game is in Happy Valley. Auburn has won twice this season, but both of those games were against inferior opponents.
