The Warren Greatrex team have already pulled a joker out of the pack this week when they fired in a 125/1 at Lingfield on Tuesday, and the Lambourn hander could cause a minor upset here with his talented but fragile 9-year-old HIGH STAKES.

The gelding returns from a 291-day break, where previously he had a stint over fences in which he didn't really fire on all cylinders. However, he is back on the track here, returning to the smaller obstacles with Lily Pinchin in the saddle. High Stakes has been hard to keep sound, and has had a small operation on his leg.

The accessor has been fairly lenient and has dropped him down to a BHA mark of 117 - a mark which makes him look very well treated on last year's Hurdle form in which he was rated 130 at peak. This is a wide-open encounter, and cut in the ground will pose no issue.

If this talented individual hit the frame at attractive odds I wouldn't be surprised.

The Lucinda Russell team make the interesting move to bring the unexposed 9-year-old DO YOUR JOB back in trip, and eased to a mark of 140, I can see this individual running a big race.

A Grade 2 winner as a Novice Chaser last year, he hasn't quite been seeing out his races over trips around 2m4f, and underwent wind surgery again before his comeback run in the Old Roan Chase at Aintree.

He should find life a little easier eased in class here, and the drop down in distance could prove an inspired move. The 9-year-old has a touch of class and I expect Derek Fox to employ positive tactics and utilise his bold jumping, which on song is his major asset.

He looks the value play here for a shrewd training operation.

JPR ONE produced a very smart performance to win at the first attempt over fences, as he jumped and travelled well to come home and win in cosy fashion at Newton Abbot last month.

The Joe Tizzard team are in fine fettle at present, and the 6-year-old can make it two wins on the bounce and enhance the recent hot-streak of the Tizzard team.

With only eight career starts in total, he is thoroughly unexposed, and should have a lot more to offer over fences, which is often the way with the type of horse the Tizzard's train. With plenty of winning form on Soft ground, connections will be thrilled with the amount of rain around in the Cheltenham area at present, so there will be no excuse in regards to underfoot conditions.

JPR one has also performed well at Cheltenham in the past, when losing by just a neck to the classy Datsalrightgino at Prestbury Park, so the undulations of Prestbury Park should hold no fears.

Brendan Powell takes the ride on the son of Court Cave, and the combination look to have the right credentials to get in the winner's enclosure.
