Fakenham 1.30 - Brandisova

BRANDISOVA has a love affair with Fakenham, and I think she can land her second win over fences for the Lucy Wadham and Bryony Frost combination.

Successful on two of her three starts at the Norfolk venue, naturally, returning to this track is a major tick in the box as she looks to bounce back from a below-par effort at last time out. It was very testing ground that day and she seemed to fade out of proceedings over three miles, so the forecast nicer ground looks ideal for her in this scenario.

The accessor has eased the 8-year-old to a mark of 92, and so she has every chance of adding to her tally once again over a familiar course and distance. This small field will suit, and Brandisova can get in a good rhythm at the head of affairs and can take some pegging back here.

Fakenham 2.30 - My Gift To You

There was a lot to like about the performance of MY GIFT TO YOU who ultimately got the job done in good style over course and distance last time out, when returning to fences.

The 5-year-old made it an unblemished two from two over the larger obstacles when powering clear inside the closing stages, and looks capable of defying a 5lb rise in the weights with Lily Pinchin in the saddle for the in-form James Owen team.

The yard have been operating at a 30% strike-rate for the last fortnight and looks to have the perfect opportunity to enhance that record in a race that doesn't on the face of it have any real strength or depth.

My Gift To You can hopefully live up to his name, and this unexposed 5-year-old looks to have leading claims here.

Fakenham 3.00 - Swaffham Bulbeck

SWAFFHAM BULBECK is an enigmatic character, who has been out in the doldrums lately, but can never be discounted returning to his favourite venue.

From six starts at the Norfolk venue, the 10-year-old has registered three wins and three placed efforts, and more specifically is one from one over this course and distance.

So although recent runs don't fill you with confidence, he can show his old spark here eased to an official mark of 127 - just 3lb higher than when last in the winners enclosure.

He is versatile in regards to ground requirements and the step back up in trip will help - especially around a tight track like this. Ciaran Gethings takes the ride for the Stuart Edmunds stable, and I can see this 10-year-old running a blinder in this Class 3 event.

Don't forget Ed will be back on Saturday as he sorts out the wise wagers for all the weekend's top Racing...
