Tuesday horse racing betting tips from Ed Quigley: Best picks for Fakenham

Ed 'Longshot Ted Quigley fired in the winners at Cheltenham over the weekend and is now back with his best bets for Tuesday's action...

Find the following picks for the Tuesday race at Wincanton and Ffos Las. Play on the races with our best expert rated horse racing betting sites:

  • Fakenham 12.45 - Brandisova- bet with bet365
  • Fakenham 1.40 - Eceparti - bet with talkSPORT BET
  • Fakenham 2.10 - Sergeant Wilson - bet with BetMGM

BRANDISOVA has a love affair with Fakenham, and I think she can land her second win over fences for the Lucy Wadham and Bryony Frost combination.

Successful in both starts at the Norfolk venue, naturally, returning to this track is a major tick in the box as she looks to bounce back from a below-par effort at Market Rasen last time out.

It was very testing ground that day and she seemed to fade out of proceedings over three miles. Coming back in distance shouldn't be a problem, and the forecast nicer ground looks ideal for her in this scenario.

The accessor has eased the 7-year-old to a mark of 94, and with the cheek pieces going on for the first time, they can have the desired effect and keep the unblemished record at the track going. Brandisova can get in a good rhythm at the head of affairs and can take some pegging back here.

The Venetia Williams bandwagon seems to be rolling along from strength and I think this looks a prime opportunity for ECEPARTI to extend the winning run and enhance the Herefordshire handler's excellent strike rate which has been going on for weeks.

The 9-year-old Eceparti arrives here on a hattrick following back to back wins at Chepstow, and even now off an inflated mark of 112, still looks very well treated based on his previous exploits.

The step up to 3m5f should be ideal around a tight track like Fakenham and another trip to the winner's enclosure looks more than likely. Charlie Deutsch is a jockey riding out of his skin at the moment, and I think Eceparti can provide him with another winner here off top weight.

Any rain that falls shouldn't be an inconvenience in the slightest and a bold show should be on the cards.

The Nigel Twiston-Davies team have been ticking over nicely and the quirky character SERGEANT WILSON has to be respected with Daryl Jacob on board.

The 5-year-old clearly has plenty of ability under the bonnet, and returns to the scene of his only career win to date. The idiosyncrasies of Fakenham clearly go hand in hand with this individual who had the scope to notch another success racing off an official mark of 110.

He arrives on the back of a solid second at Newbury behind an unexposed sort, and given his versatility in regards to underfoot conditions, it is not hard to envisage him playing a strong part here as he takes numerous rivals who are looking a little out of sorts.

This looks the type of race where the gelding can bring his A-game to the table, and his 'Fakenham CV' can be bolstered on this occasion. I would be disappointed if this unexposed sort was getting in the mix at the business end of proceedings.

Don't forget that Ascot's Christmas Meeting kicks off on Friday and Ed will be back once more to serve up his best bets...
