Galloway family look back at Twynholm through the decades in the latest edition of Galloway People
Ian and Bill Galloway have worked together in building up their garage at Twynholm for 50 years. William and his family moved to Nun Mill at The Dhoon in 1947. He opened petrol pumps and a workshop in 1953. In 1960 William died and Ian took up driving. He took a PSV licence in 1963 and drove a school bus. The asbestos roofing from an RAF airfield at Baldoon was used in the workshop. Galloways used to drive buses for schools and groups. They also took children for trips. Ian was driving a bus in a snowy morning in 2013.
