REST IN PEACE: Much-loved Watford bookmaker passes away

Brian Cyril Ansell, of BetAnsells, passed away on December 19 at Watford General Hospital. Brian was a member of the football team at Leggatts Way School and worked for several companies before joining his father in the bookmaking industry. He was also a lover of racing and horses. His biggest racing success was with “Confusion” first past the post in 1973 Queen Anne stakes at Royal Ascot. He is survived by his wife Barbara, son Richard and daughter Louise, five grandchildren and one great grandchild.
