Gallus Glasgow granny tells armed robber to 'p*ss off, you're no' getting anything' during raid on bookies
Mary, 66, stopped an armed robber from robbing William King and Sons bookmaker in the Battlefield area of Glasgow. She has two great-grandchildren and six grandchildren and is just 5ft tall. The robber threatened her with a stick and an iron bar. Mary called the police and they caught him. He was jailed for five years. He also robbed a branch of Ladbrokes Bookmakers in Glasgow's Saltmarket and took £405. Before the first robbery McLean had placed 30 to 40 bets on horse and dog races.
