Ohio sports betting was legalized on Dec. 22, 2021. There are currently 50 online sportsbooks in the state. DraftKings, FanDuel, Caesars Sportsbook, BetMGM Ohio and Barstool Sportsbooks Ohio have received approval from the Ohio Casino Control Commission.

Ohio Sports Betting Launch Day is January 1, 2023 at 12:01 am ET. There will be 50 online sportsbooks with 25 Type A licenses, two online sportswriters skins each. The legal betting age is 21.

Wagering in Ohio is expected to drive millions in revenue. Illinois and Pennsylvania have legalized sports betting. The first month of Ohio sportsbetting will see over $500 million in wagers. Ohio will have a 10% tax hold rate on gross gaming revenue, which will bring in $1.5 million a month through the first months of 2023.
