Garland of Roses Stakes Betting Preview

The eighth race on the card at Aqueduct is the Garland of Roses Stakes. It is for fillies and mares aged three and older and there is a purse of $120,000. Charlton Baker has won the previous two editions of the race.

Smash Ticket is a runner for Rob Altas. She has won three of four starts this season. Last time out she finished sixth in the G2 Raven Run. Before that she won the Weather Vane Stakes at Pimlico over six furlongs.

Disco Ebo is trained by Robert Reid and she has won on each of her previous two starts. She won at the end of November in the Youngstown Oaks at Mahoning Valley.

Beguine is without a victory since breaking her maiden at Oaklawn in March. Beguine achieved a career-best speed figure of 100 when finishing second in an allowance at Aqueduct over 6 ½ furlongs.

Hot Peppers is a good pick for the Garland of Roses Stakes. Rudy Rodriguez's horse was scratched from the G1 Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Sprint. Hot Pepper has won five of her eight starts.
