Comely Stakes (Aqueduct) Predictions, Best Bets, Odds

Kathleen O. returns to the Grade 3 Comely Stakes at Aqueduct on Friday. Nostalgic is the main competitor. Sixtythreecaliber, a daughter of Gun Runner, earned her fourth victory in her last five starts. Falconet, the narrow runner-up, has not been worse than second in five career starts for trainer Todd Pletcher.

Kathleen O. won three straight stakes races at Gulfstream Park early this year and her career debut at Aqueduct. She was beaten four lengths at the Kentucky Oaks. Kathleen O.'s first career loss was not a poor performance.

Falconet is the favorite in the Comely Stakes at Aqueduct. Tizzy in The Sky is expected to be the main threat.  Todd Pletcher's daughter of Uncle Mo has been consistent since her debut in March.

Nostalgic has had some tough races over the last several months. Last out she just missed against older mares in the Grade 3 Turnback the Alarm at Aqueduct. Before that she had a nice win over a track and trip in Grade three Gazelle. Kathleen O. is one of the ones to beat on Friday.

Sixtythreecaliber has won four of her last five starts. The last one was her best yet when she wore down Falconet late to win the Seneca Overnight at Churchill Downs. She is not a speed filly, but she has enough early pace to be in touch and in front of some heavy hitters from behind.
