Gator's 'Super Saturday' Game Plan

David 'Gator' Gately has the game plan for this Saturday's racing at Flemington. The Group 1 Newmarket Handicap is the highlight. Victoria Racing Club are hoping for a big crowd. Seven of the 10 races at Rosehill are Group or Listed.

FANGIRL is this week's Best Bet at Rosehill. The Chris Waller trained filly is worth $2.20. She is going to contest the Group 2 Phar Lap Stakes. She won the Light Fingers fresh and finished fifth in the Surround Stake.

The long division race is the Group 3 Shaftesbury Avenue Handicap, Race 8 at Flemington. The race has a lot of different angles. There are match-fit in-form horses coming through the MORVADA/JUNIPAL race and the Corner Pocket race. KISSONALLFOURCHEEKS from WA, CHAILLOT unbeaten fresh, ROCK from Sydney and FOURHOMETWO is a first Australian start.

MASKED CRUSADER is in the Group 1 NEWMARKET HANDICAP, Race 6 at Flemington. The Hawkes trained gelding is currently at $13.00 with the TAB.

Home Affairs is an up-and-coming superstar. He beat the Elite first-up and his Coolmore win was breath-taking. There are other horses with good form, such as OVERPASS, ARTOIUS, QUANTICO, OXLEY ROAD, and Kiwi horses LEVANTE and ROCKING HORSE.
