Bendigo Jockey Club is hoping for a big crowd at the stand alone Saturday meeting. The Listed Golden Mile is the highlight of the card. In Sydney, The Championships are taking place at Randwick.
Fireburn is this week's Best Bet at Randwick. She won her past four starts and the Golden Slipper. She was knocked down at the 700m mark but picked herself up and drove through to win impressively.
The ListedBendigo Mile, Race 8 at Bendigo on Saturday 2 April 2022 is the hardest race to work out. There are a few horses that have accepted for the Group 1 Doncaster and others that are coming off good performances. I'm Superman, I'll Be Myself, CROSSHAVEN, HI STRANGER and HOLBIEN are among the horses with potential to win the race.
REMARQUE is the favourite for the Immex Metal Recyclying BM84 Handicap (1100m) at Bendigo. He is also nominated for next Saturday's race. The Team Hawkes trained colt is currently the $3.80 favourite with the TAB.
Day 1 of The Championships is terrific racing. The DONCASTER MILE is a fascinating race. I’M THUNDERSTRUCK, FORBIDDEN LOVE and PRIVATE EYE are flying. CONVERGE gets back to the mile 7 kilograms under weight-for-age.
