Golden Knights vs. Stars same-game parlay picks, Game 4: Bet on Hintz, Dallas to shine

The Dallas Stars desperately need a win to avoid elimination against the Vegas Golden Knights.

The pregame narrative: Game 3 was as bad as it gets for Dallas, leading us to believe the team will put forward a solid response in Game 4. We’re backing the home team as a puck-line underdog, expecting a point from Roope Hintz and taking a teased-up under.

NHL odds as of 10:38 a.m. on 05/25/2023.

Golden Knights vs. Stars same-game parlay

Parlay: Stars +1.5 + Hintz to score 1+ point + Under 6.5 goals (+210)

Stars +1.5 (-305): Dallas has plenty to play for on Thursday night after Tuesday’s horrendous performance.

The Stars were embarrassing on home ice in Game 3, losing 4-0 to Vegas. It got so bad that fans started throwing trash onto the ice.

Considering how successful Dallas’ season has been to this point, the expectation should be a complete effort from what we believe is a good team facing elimination.

Don’t let one game distract you from how close these two squads were in Games 1 and 2. Both outings needed overtime, although it was the Golden Knights winning both.

The Stars have covered this number in five of six meetings dating back to the regular season.

Other parlay picks

Hintz to score 1+ point (-200): Dallas’ postseason success has largely run through Hintz.

The Stars’ forward still leads the playoffs in points with 22 even though he hasn’t registered a point since the series opener. He did record three in that game, however, which is tied for the team lead in the series.

Hintz should see plenty of ice time in Game 4. With the game essentially out of hand entering the third, he played sparsely, totalling 15:27 in time on ice for the contest. There was only one game this postseason where he played less.

Still playing on the top power-play unit and skating alongside a resurgent Jason Robertson, we’re expecting big things from Dallas’ top forwards.

Under 6.5 goals (-195): Lastly, we’re sticking with the under.

Goals have been difficult to come by in the conference finals, with the under on this total cashing in five of seven outings during the round.

A big reason why it’s cashing in the Western Conference final is Adin Hill. The Vegas puck-stopper owns a .949 save percentage through three games after posting a shutout in Game 3.

Despite receiving the hook in his previous appearance, we’re counting on a bounce back from Jake Oettinger. He and the Stars are 5-3 following games where he allows three-plus goals in the playoffs.
