Golf betting tips: Charles Schwab Challenge, KLM Open and LIV Golf DC picks
There is plenty of golf action to get stuck into this week with no fewer than three events taking place. The Charles Schwab Challenge headlines the PGA Tour, the DP World Tour stages the KLM Open and the latest LIV event takes place in Washington DC.
Quite often in the week that follows one of the four majors there are some big prices to take advantage of, and that is again the case across these three tournaments with our selections ranging from 18/1 to 110/1.
Colonial Country Club is the venue for the Charles Schwab Challenge, as it has been since the inaugural edition in 1946, and this will be the last time the course is seen in the same design, as architect Gil Hanse and his team will begin to remodel it straight after the tournament concludes.
Scottie Scheffler, back at the top of the world rankings after his tied-second finish last week, is the 9/2 favourite to claim the spoils and he came close to doing so last year when losing out to Sam Burns in a play-off.
The KLM Open takes place at Bernardus Golf for the third straight year and Victor Perez is the 12/1 joint-favourite to land his second victory of the year, along with Poland’s Adrian Meronk.
As for the latest LIV Golf event, the field heads to Trump National Golf Club in Washington DC and it is Brooks Koepka, fresh from his US PGA triumph on Sunday, who is the 8/1 joint-favourite alongside Australian Cameron Smith.

Aussie riding crest of wave
While there are plenty of big names at the top of the betting, the 70/1 available on Min Woo Lee is hard to ignore and he arrives here on the back of a T18 at the US PGA, a result that has earned him special temporary status on the American circuit for the remainder of the season.
Defending champion Sam Burns ranked highly both in strokes gained – total and strokes gained – putting on his way to victory 12 months ago. It’s notable that Lee leads in the former and is seventh in latter on the DP World Tour this season.
The 24-year-old Aussie also proved his quality at The Players Championship a couple of months back, ending up in a share of sixth, and he could be a real danger this week with his confidence brimming.

Riley will welcome Colonial return
A withdrawal followed by four missed cuts does not make for fantastic reading when you look at Davis Riley’s recent performances, but he did pick up a victory in the Zurich Classic of New Orleans in the middle of that run when partnering Nick Hardy.
Riley has struggled to keep the momentum going since that maiden win, but he does have fond memories of the Charles Schwab Challenge having finished fourth on his debut last year. A return to this course could bring out the best in him.

Ko can continue fine form
Jeong Weon Ko has been getting to grips with the higher-level events over the past few months since making the switch to the DP World Tour and he arrives in the Netherlands with one top-10 finish and a top-15 from his last three outings.
The course definitely favoured the bigger hitters last year and this bodes well for Frenchman Ko, who is joint-second is strokes gained off the tee and 20th in driving distance on the DP World Tour this season.

Bachem deserves backing
Nick Bachem landed his first DPWT title at the Jonsson Workwear Open in March and after a couple of understandably average performances since, he could be ready to give another good account of himself this week.
The German is another who has excelled with the driver this season. He is fifth in strokes gained off the tee and third in driving distance, and his power game should see him go well on his KLM Open debut.

Length is Bryson’s Trump card
Trump National Golf Club in Washington DC is not for the faint-hearted. It measures a mighty 7,693 yards and that could play into the hands of well-known big-hitter Bryson DeChambeau.
The American has had his injury problems but he showed his quality with a tied-fourth finish at the US PGA. That result moved him back inside the world’s top 100 and came off the back of seventh at the previous LIV event in Tulsa.

Garcia to strike early blow
Sergio Garcia has had some decent results in the LIV events this year, notably ninth in Tucson and second in Singapore. He heads into the event on a high after qualifying for next month’s US Open.
The Spaniard shot back-to-back 66s in the 36-hole qualifier contested at Northwood Club and Bent Tree Country Club in Dallas, Texas, and he can keep that momentum going into round one on Friday.
