Golf Players Prop Bets for Wed March13 Thomas Fast Start Headlines

The Players Championship headlines golf action this week and there are plenty of golf prop odds available.

Headlining our picks is Justin Thomas to lead the field after the opening round, and the odds are generous with all of our Players props.

1. Needing a Fast Start

For Thomas to get his confidence levels back, he needs to get off to a fast start at The Players Championship.

The former elite golfer is good enough to recapture his best form, and the Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass could be the best place for it.

Going without a win in 2023, the two-time PGA Championship winner is struggling with his game. However, much like close friend Jordan Spieth, who went through similar trouble, it’s never too late to regain that form.

We’re putting our trust in Thomas, and we get +3000 with sports betting odds for him to lead after the first round.

That’s a generous price, and it’s always a fun golf prop bet to start the tournament.

Min Woo Lee has a good chance of playing well this week, and according to our sports betting calculator, he’s a value pick for Top Australasian.

Featuring the likes of Jason Day, Adam Scott, and Ryan Fox, it’s not an easy category to win, but The Players should be right up his alley.

The Perth-based 25-year-old has been lumped with a lot of pressure since joining the PGA Tour. He has yet to have much of an impact in 2024, but with a fifth at the 2023 U.S. Open, the talent is there.

The Players Championship winners list has a long history of young winners, and although he doesn’t need to win the tournament to cash the +275 for Top Australasian, he could go close on Sunday.

3. Lowry Top 10

Irishman Shane Lowry is getting close to a win after consistent performances in 2024.

He finished third at the Arnold Palmer Invitational last week, so our sports odds calculator has him as a value bet to finish in the top 10.

He also finished T4 at the Cognizant Classic, so he’s playing well, and we can’t turn down the +350 odds for a top-10 finish.

There are a host of chances at value odds, including Patrick Cantlay (+260) and Collin Morikawa (+320), but Lowry is playing quality golfer and he’s a player to follow over the next few weeks heading into the Masters.

4. Aberg to Miss the Cut

We think Ludvig Aberg is a quality young golfer, but we’re including him in our golf picks to miss the cut.

The 24-year-old is a four-time professional winner, with one win coming on the PGA Tour. However, he has yet to play The Players, and it’s a different kettle of fish.

The 17th hole alone can see inexperienced players’ scores skyrocket, and we think Aberg might send some balls into the water.

We’re not hoping for a player’s downfall, but on this occasion, we hope the Swede doesn’t turn up with his best golf.

He’s listed at +225 odds to miss the cut, and we’re happy to have that betting line in our selections.
