Los Angeles got a monster effort from Anthony Davis in Game 3, who scored 31 points and grabbed 17 rebounds, can the Lakers take a commanding 3-1 series lead, or can the Grizzlies get back on track with Ja Morant back on the floor?

We’ll start with the status of Dillon Brooks, who was ejected early in the second half of Game 3 for hitting LeBron James in the groin and being assessed a flagrant foul. However, the league won’t suspend Brooks for the play.

Since the Game 1 offensive clinic that featured 240 points, the last two have been more defensive minded matchups, featuring 194 and 212 points. Neither team is adept at shooting the ball, the Lakers were 18th in effective field goal percentage and the Grizzlies were 21st, and that’s carried into the postseason where the Lakers are ninth and the Grizzlies are 13th.

With neither team scorching the nets and the pace incredibly sow, I think we see this game continue to trend under as the game is determined by who can limit the other team’s second chances and turnovers, not by who can dominate from three.

Back to Brooks, the Grizzlies defense is three points better per 100 possessions with him on the floor in the regular season while the offense has been two points worse per 100.
