Horse racing predictions: Longchamp Arc meeting Saturday best bets

The Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe is taking place in Longchamp this weekend. Saturday's marathon card runs from 12.23pm-5.10pm. Qatar Prix du Cadran is the centrepiece at 3.25pm on Saturday.

12.58pm Qatar Arabian Trophy des Juments (Arab Group 1, 1m 2f). Al Wakrah came from last to first to win a Group 3 race at La Teste De Buch in August. Sahab finished second.

1.33pm Qatar Prix de Royallieu (Fillies’ Group 1, 1m 6f). Verry Elleegant is a key player here. Verrry won the 2021 Melbourne Cup. SEA LA ROSA is on the rise for William Haggas.

Sea La Rosa is the best bet for Saturday's Longchamp Arc meeting.

2.15pm Qatar Prix de La Place des Vosges Handicap (1m 4½). Golden Call won four on the trot and came up short in a Listed race last month at Saint-Cloud. Maxime Guyon has Maximé Guy on board here and they are definite contenders. PANJAMAN ran well at the Saint Cloud three weeks ago.

2.50pm Haras de Bouquetot – Criterium Arqana Stakes (1m). There's a £125,000 prize for the winner of this two-year-old contest. Denmark won his debut race at Naas in August. PAPILIO for Fozzy Stack is travelling from the Emerald Isle.

Papilio is selected for Saturday's Longchamp Arc meeting with Sky Bet.

Kyprios has won the Ascot Gold Cup, Goodwood Cup and Irish St Leger this summer. Quickthorn is the likeliest winner in the Qatar Prix du Cadran.

GROCER JACK is lightly raced but his second at Windsor behind Regal Reality was another good effort. He was behind Anmaat in the Rose Of Lancaster Stakes at Haydock prior to that. Ryan Moore will be on his back for the first time. Qatar Prix Dollar is at 4.00 pm.

The Revenant won the Prix Daniel Wildenstein in 2019 and 2020. Last month he was caught too far back and Dreamloper took it from the front. Erevann was third in the Jacques le Marois behind Inspiral in August.
