Horse Racing Tips Friday 17th November 2023 best bets and most tipped horses

There are six horse racing fixtures taking place on Friday and the obvious attraction is day 1 of the November Meeting at Cheltenham, while there's alternative action at Wexford, Doncaster, Newcastle, Wolverhampton and Dundalk. We pick out some of the best bets from our racing naps table today, as we look to point you in the right direction of a winner or two, while we also look at some of the big racing stories...

There's a hugely competitive conditional jockeys' handicap hurdle to kick off Cheltenham's six-race card at 13:10, but one horse has proven popular with our racing tipsters and that is Gavin Cromwell's Fathom Two, who has been napped by three tipsters and the 9/1 chance looks to have a leading chance. Napped by the likes of Dean Kilbryde and Chris Wright, Fathom Two will be looking to build on a third placed finish at Downpatrick last time out and he looks one that could improve on that effort here. We then switch to the final race on the card at 16:05 and Nicky Henderson's Impose Toi is another napped by three tipsters and that Seven Barrows raider was a winner last time out at Ludlow and is sure to be a leading player. Many people's banker of the day is the Paul Nicholls-trained Captain Teague in the Grade 2 Hyde Novices' Hurdle at 15:30 and that Ditcheat raider is the other selection on Friday to be napped by three tipsters and he's an odds-on shot to claim today's prize

Horseracing.net says: "Fathom Two could only finish third on his handicap hurdle debut at Downpatrick last month, but he shaped like he could be capable of a lot more over timber and he is well fancied to strike in the 13:10 at Cheltenham. He runs off 117 this afternoon in the opener and he will need to improve, but Irish runners have been mopping up at Cheltenham in recent times, so he has to be respected."

Heading into three days of top quality action at Cheltenham, which includes the Paddy Power Gold Cup on Saturday, Brian Flanagan is heading the naps table and he's taking no chances on Friday's card at Prestbury Park as he has napped Captain Teague in the 15:30 race. A fine winner of the Persian War Novices' Hurdle last time out at Chepstow, he will be looking to stake his claim for the Cheltenham Festival today and looks a rock solid favourite. The Brigadier is another flying high in the naps table and that tipster also heads to Cheltenham and has napped Belgoprince in the 16:05, while second placed tipster The Punt heads to Newcastle's afternoon card and that tipster has napped Venturous in the 15:40 and that raider is around the 9/1 mark, at the time of writing.
