Horse Racing Tips from Early Market Movers 23/9/23

Our proven model which identifies sophisticated betting moves in early markets identified two winners last Saturday.

Star Patrol ($4.50) got the job done for us at Flemington before Just Fine ($3.30) blew them away in the Kingston Town Stakes at Rosehill.

This week a number of Chris Waller runners have been targeted by punters early, with the early prices knocked off.

At Caulfield the master trainer has a horse who looks to be at the perfect time in his prep.

Whilst in Sydney, expect one of Waller’s gun mares to be more forward than most expect!

Caulfield Tips

She's A Con

The stable know how to place them to perfection first-up, and that looks the case here with this 3YO.

She must be showing them plenty at home after being carefully selected out of NZ, where she was identified by some good judges as having well above average ability.

If they go fast, expect her to be very well suited and the one all over the top of them late.

Poifect

Could not have been more impressive on debut when wining at Geelong after overcoming difficulty.

Straight to town now for the gun Lindsay Park team, who have plenty of good horses to benchmark her against.

The stable know the right horse to enter here and the booking of Mark Zahra says it all!

Veight

Was a high-class 2YO and has continued on to be one of the top-line 3YO’s this season.

He is a highly valuable colt on a Guineas path, however I suspect they are still going to show good intent here in order to maintain the attractive stud resume for marketing purposes.

Ben Melham is desperate to return to his glory days and certainly has the ability to pull out a gun ride.

Lindermann

Classy Sydney raider who is flying under the radar and could easily surprise a few of the more fancied runners in the Group 1 Underwood.

Waller is the set-up king third-up and that looks to be the case here, with a runner which is sure to be peaking on the day.

Hugh Bowman is back in town for the mount, and he rides Caulfield in big Group 1 races as well as anyone.

Rosehill Tips

Take The Kitty

Matthew Dunn runner who had genuine excuses last start, when she had to check with no clear running but still managed to work home into second.

Up in distance now to 1500m is perfect, and this should give her the extra time to wind up and get home hard.

Given more luck on this occasion, expect her to go one better and win!

Al Abir

Is owned by some of Waller’s good Kiwi mates who he will be looking to take care of.

This could be perfect Waller fourth-up, where the good base has been established without any intent shown in the lead up runs.

Now ready and from the good draw (gate 5), it would not surprise to see the rider positive out of the gates and holding a position midfield or better.

Atishu

Gun mare who on her day would be rounding these up with ease and giving them windburn!

There's some small question marks around her fitness at this stage of her prep, as she could be one run short.

I'm happy to trust Waller has her forward enough and if she gets the nice tag on the back of Espiona, she should be winning.

Toesonthenose

Had genuine excuses last start when racing on the heavily biased Kensington track and could only manage 6 of 11, after never really getting clear.

Back to a fairer surface here, he can be the big improver with more luck from the soft draw (gate 4).

John Sargent usually starts to hit his straps at this time of year and present a few good quality Spring runners. This could be one.
