Horse racing tips: Muswellbrook, Albury best bets and inside mail

Matt Jones runs the rule over Thursday's horse racing meetings at Muswellbrook and Albury.

Muswellbrook, Albury and Russian Standard are the best bets.

Memora is drawn out in Race 4 No.9. She will take a sit and hit the line hard.

Rory Hutchings could win all three races he's riding in with Custo, Russian Standard and Shen Gui.

FAKE MAGIC is the best bet for the 7th race of the day.

Mitchell Beer is training Seventh Seal with 66.5kg on its back. Scarlet Prince and Medal look like hopes.

Memoria has had only two starts for a win and close second placing at this track last week. Foolish has drawn much better and he too ran second here last start. Hard To Dismiss has issues winning but is consistently around the mark and gets into this well at the weights.

Russian Standard has drawn much better this time and should finally start getting some racing into him. Debutant Prince Pilgrim isn't rated to win but might just run above his odds. Pliskova has a better gate now and she should be peaking third-up. Les Girls went down here in a photo finish last week.

Media Man is shooting for three-straight wins. I Want One has been struggling recently. Prince Akeen needs to find a length or two to be in the finish. Quinella 3 and Quinella 7 are the best bets.

Warrah Flash drops back in grade for Race 7. Forbidden Palace will be the favourite. Shen Gui will try and hang on the straight. The track needs to dry.

Scarlet Prince is a short priced favourite for Race 4. He won at Wagga last start. Especial Courage and Little Miss Grace are also favourites.

Bold Offa will try to lead this race all the way. Seventh Seal is the best horse in this event but weight stops everything at some point.

Pride Of Penraf will sit on the speed and should benefit from a first-up third at Moruya. Morezmo is peaking now and the wide gate at this time of the day might not be a bad thing. Magic Jack has been racing in lesser grade but been thereabouts so it's time to step up.

Xtrayya won on debut down south. Fake Magic won in Victoria last time. Missed The Mark won a barrier trial by eight lengths coming into this race.
