Horse racing tips: This 20-1 shot can hit the mark under the champ Colin Keane at the Curragh

OWEN GOULDING tackles Saturday's racing looking for three value selections to bash the bookies with.

These three outsiders look set to out-run their enormous odds and you can find all the insight below.

Just one favourite has won the Scurry Handicap (2.35) in the last ten years and with a 50-1 winner two years ago, this 21-runner handicap is an upset haven.

There's not many you could rule out with confidence in this six-furlong dash and I can't see Laugh A Minute finishing outside the places.

He's been kept busy this year and he's yet to run a bad race over the six-furlong trip.

He was beaten just a head in a premier handicap here in May and he arrives off a pound lower after finding five furlongs too sharp last time.

He's ground versatile and will get the strong pace he craves, making him a shoe-in for the places in my book.

The Irish Oaks (3.45) is set to be an Aidan O'Brien benefit with Savethelastdance and Warm Heart clear in the market.

They'll be tough to displace from those positions, but there's three places on offer and Azazat can fill the frame.

She's had just four runs so far and after breaking her maiden on her third run, she only found an older rival too strong in a Group 3 last time.

She was unlucky that day, short of room at a crucial stage before being slightly hampered late on.

Dermot Weld's horses tend to improve as they gain experience and don't be surprised if she upsets the apple cart.

Run For Oscar couldn't have had a worse trip in the Queen Alexandra at Royal Ascot and he can raise his level to threaten in the Curragh Cup (4.20).

He shaped very well on his return to the flat over 1m5f in a Listed race here and never got a clear run at Royal Ascot.

Ordinarily, this probably wouldn't be enough of a test of stamina, but there's plenty in here who could force a pace, which would bring him into play.

He'll be staying on best of all in the closing stages and at his current price, I'm happy to take a chance it'll be for at least a place.

Remember to gamble responsibly

  • Establishes time and monetary limits before playing
  • Only gambles with money they can afford to lose
  • Never chases their losses
  • Doesn’t gamble if they’re upset, angry or depressed
