How to watch Louisville football vs Boston College: Odds, notes, more

Jeff Brohm knows the importance of not letting his team get too high or too low.

Last season in his final year at Purdue, his squad started 1-2 but made the Big Ten Conference championship game for the first time in program history. On the flip side, in Brohm's last year as an assistant coach at Illinois in 2011, the squad started 6-0 but lost the next six games.

It's a reminder that anything can happen and to not take any game for granted. Brohm has driven that point home to his 3-0 Louisville team as the Cardinals look to stay unbeaten when they play Boston College at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at L&N Stadium.

"Whether you win or lose, you're going to have a few people pat you on the back, or a few people tell you that you're not very good, and you should have done this better," said Brohm, in his first season as Louisville's coach. "You have to just block it out. You have to understand every week is a new challenge. Every team you play is competitive. Every team you play is a chance to win, and if we don't play our best or we're not improving every week, we’re not going to get to where we want to go."

• Louisville safety Cam’Ron Kelly was named the ACC’s Defensive Back of the Week after last week's win over Indiana. In his second start for the Cardinals, he tied a career high with 12 tackles in the 21-14 victory. 
• A win over Boston College would give Louisville a 2-0 start to ACC play, which has happened once since the Cardinals joined the league. 
• Louisville leads the all-time series over Boston College 8-7, though the two teams are 2-2 over the last four meetings. The Eagles won 34-33 last year at their home field. 
• Cardinals wide receiver Jamari Thrash is top 10 nationally in receiving yards per game (109.7) and receiving touchdowns (4), while ranking 12th in total receiving yards (329) and 13th in yards per reception (23.5).
